Nordic Semiconductor BL600 Demo Video

Nordic Semiconductor recently posted a video demonstration of the new Laird BL600 Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module from their booth at the 2013 GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The Barcelona show highlighted the impact of mobility on individuals and businesses – in developed and developing markets – across a range of industries.

The Laird Technologies BL600 module is a fully integrated and approved single-mode BLE, or Bluetooth Smart, module that uses Nordic Semiconductor's class-leading nRF51822 system on a chip. What makes the BL600 modules unique is Laird’s smartBASIC, an event-driven programming language that simplifies BLE module integration. Even those with little software or Bluetooth expertise can develop fully functional applications in just days. Those applications, along with a complete BLE stack, reside on the module itself and do not require an external microcontroller or memory. Every BL600 Series (BL600) module will greatly simplify the process of adding single-mode Bluetooth Smart to any small, portable, power-conscious device.
