Always Improving: The Latest with Our Lyra Modules
Our popular Lyra series of Bluetooth 5.3 LE modules, based on Silicon Labs’ EFR32BG22 chipset, allows us to bring our decades of wireless experience to field-proven chipset silicon. Through our partnership with SiLabs, we’ve layered on value-added application software, services, certification capabilities, and support expertise. The result is Bluetooth solutions that customers love, offering multiple development pathways with a popular AT command set application or full C Code development via Simplicity Studio.
Our ongoing firmware development continues to enhance the Lyra modules by improving their performance and making them even more useful. The latest firmware release, the Lyra GA 3.0 firmware, is available on GitHub. This update introduces significant improvements that customers can leverage to gain greater control over their devices and achieve better performance in their designs.
Major Feature Updates in Lyra GA 3.0 Firmware
- New: Remote Command Mode. This mode enables a central device to connect to a peripheral device and issue AT commands over a Bluetooth connection. It allows OEMs to adjust device communications on the fly.
- New: AT+SLEEP Command. This command lets you immediately put the device into low power sleep mode with UART deactivated, enabling more intelligent power management.
- New: Firmware Over-the-Air Disable. For added security, OEMs can disable the Firmware Update Over the Air service through the AT command set.
- Improved: VSP Stability and Throughput. Enhancements boost connection stability and speed, reaching full speed with a baud rate of 115200.
