Why won't my smartBASIC enabled BT module auto run applications?

Answer

There are a few reasons why an application may not run automatically. First and foremost for an application to auto run it must be named in the following manner $autorun$.my.file.sb where “my” and “file” are not necessary but can provide more description as to the contents or purpose of your application. If you are using DVK be sure that your jumper on the J6 header is set in the “nAutoRUN” position.

Additionally, with a DVK be sure that dip switch two on CON12 is set to “nAutoRUN”. If your application is still not auto running you may have an invalid license key on your module. Using a terminal emulator such as UWTerminal, enter the command “AT I 4”. This will return the MAC address. If it returns “COFFEE” then you have an invalid or corrupt license key. In this instance please contact Laird support so that we may issue you a new license key.
