Embedded Wireless Solutions of Laird announced today the release of the Laird Bluetooth Selection Tool. This simple and easy to use online tool is an excellent resource for engineers to quickly narrow down Laird's extensive Bluetooth offerings and choose the optimal Bluetooth module solution for their specific project requirements.
2013 brought an overhaul and refresh of Laird's Bluetooth module portfolio and this significant increase in module options has led to the release of the Bluetooth Selection Tool. Laird has launched four new Bluetooth product series to complement its already robust product line. This provides an additional 20 modules and associated development kits, bringing the overall portfolio to more than 50 Classic Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) options.
Jonathan Kaye, product manager for Laird said, "This new Bluetooth Selection Tool is designed to enable Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to quickly and easily choose the best possible solution for their specific Bluetooth application. In 2013, Laird significantly invested the Classic Bluetooth and BLE portfolios and this tool will help further simplify and ease our customer's Bluetooth development experience."
Laird's four new product series launched in 2013 included the single-mode BL600 Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module, the BTM46x made for iOS (MFi) module, the BT700 series of Class 1 modules, and the BT800 series of Class 1 USB HCI module and packaged dongle.
